Laura Mulvey is a theorist which shared the idea of audience representation, throughout my research I encounter with the vision that Laura Mulvey suggested making reference to the way directors portrayed a perspective in which there is an heterosexual man's perspective of the scene objectifying women. Although sometimes is described as the “male gaze”, Mulvey's concept is more accurately described as a heterosexual, masculine gaze. Visual media that respond to masculine desire tends to sexualise women for a male viewer.

Another view that Mulvey suggested in the "male gaze" theory is that women are only portrayed as one of these two possibilities. This was her view according to the representation of women in media texts "Either a virginal innocent character or a sex "whore" ".

Through the understanding of this view from Laura Mulvey, I will understand the codes and conventions from music videos. This view will make me change the way women might be represented in my music video. However in the reggaeton genre we can appreciate how women are usually represented the way Laura Mulvey suggests, this will condition the way I will represent women in my music video.

In the scene of the gif I have attached with the post we can see how Arcangel in "Batman en Cam Am" music video being surrounded with sexualise women showing the money while he is interpreting a lipsyinc music video.
